Developing Performance Monitoring Systems
I design performance monitoring systems that deliver timely, relevant information to increase program quality and impact. I specialize in meaningful and practical M&E solutions for challenging operating environments. Having worked in West Bank/Gaza, Iraq, and Sudan, my focus is on rigorous results through flexible approaches. No matter where my M&E solutions are applied, they are always designed to increase my client’s ability to monitor performance, improve program quality, and learn from current practice.

Leading Evaluations
In addition to M&E system design, I also lead evaluations employing a range of applied research approaches. I have served as team leader for both external and internal evaluations. Where appropriate, I work with staff to strengthen evaluation capacity through participation in data collection and analysis. I have led participatory evaluations involving a quasi-experimental design with up to 50 staff evaluators at multiple sites.

Training and Capacity Building
Without staff capacity, M&E systems cannot take root. In my work, training and coaching have always gone hand-in-hand with management of project M&E. As a skilled capacity builder and trainer, I work to promote intentional knowledge management among all stakeholders including field staff, upper management, and community partners. I regularly lead “hands-on” workshops teaching staff to develop logframes and M&E plans to submit to donors such as USAID, DFID, ECHO, USDA, AusAID, and others.
